Dear Cazier Family,

Flavia and I are deeply saddened about your loss. He made us feel at home whenever we visited and undoubtedly made our stay in Salt Lake a memorable one. As a childhood friend of Jeff's, I have many fond memories of hanging out at Al's Conoco helping him with various chores and then being rewarded with a bottle of Dr. Pepper and a bag of peanuts, which Jeff taught me tasted best when poured in the bottle. Very sad to hear of his far too early passing.

Craig and I were classmates with Jeff at Box Elder. What a great guy. He was so friendly and such a gentle man and a gentlemen. Everyone liked him and he liked everyone. Even though we have lost touch with him we were saddened to hear of his illness and now your loss of a great man. There are not enough good Scouters in this world. What a loss for all. I had the privilege of team teach "Venturing in The LDS Church" at Philmont with Jeff. It was one of the greatest weeks and most memorable experiences of my life. I love Jeff and learned so much from him.

I believe one of the great purposes of Jeff's life is he was "set" in this time and place to be a "light" and a "savior" for many young men and young men's leaders (D&C 103:9).
