Not sure what to say?

I just heard of Jeff´s passing this day from a fellow classmate. I too am a member of the PUSVM class of 1985. I know of two other members we have lost in the last 3 years as well. I remember Jeff´s smile and his future wife Deb. You are all in my prayers.

I just today heard about Dr. Dennis's passing from my veterinarian. I heard back in January 2018 that he retired suddenly and surprisingly the fall before. And that surprised me because I think he lived at VSEC/Blue Pearl. There have been some great veterinary specialists there that cared for my kitties, and he was the last of them. I always felt confidence in the care my cats would receive knowing he was around and in charge. I first met Dr. Dennis in 2002 when he diagnosed my long-hair...

I had the immense privilege of going through vet school as close friends with Jeff. Kind, wise, gentle, talented, hard-working, funny - there are not enough positive words to describe him, or the impact he had on me and, indeed, on everyone around him. Dear Jeff's family - I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you will find some comfort in knowing that Jeff's beautiful spirit lives on in you, and in all who knew him.

Dr. Dennis had been all of my dog's doctor since 1992 when I first met him at the clinic on Metcalf. Several years later I brought my police K-9 partner in and Dr. Dennis assured me everything would be fine and we would be back on the street in no time. About an hour later he called to tell me that Chief had cancer. I was very worried that Chief would not make it through the night. The next day I was at the clinic at 7am to see my boy. Dr. Dennis was already there as he had stayed there...

Dr. Dennis was an incredible man who touched and shaped the lives of so many... people and animals. His legacy will live forever and this community will never forget him. It was such a privilege to know him, work with him and call him my friend. Prayers for all who grieve his loss, especially his family.

There are people in the world who share knowledge with ease and caring. Jeff, for me, was one of those. His contribution to veterinary medicine is more than his skilled mind, it is the wonderful young veterinarians he captained through their journey as his residents and the insight he gave those who reached out to him. He will be remembered with each success of those he mentored. I am so thankful to have known him and those who shared his life. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Dear Dennis family,

I am so very sorry for your loss, and that I cannot attend Saturday's celebration of life. I have worked at BluePearl since 2013 and will miss the sound of Jeff's voice, his jokes and joking around with him, his take on life and things you cannot control, his presence and his wisdom. I'm honored to have known him and to have worked with him. He will be missed by so many. Thinking of all of you and wishing you peace.

My deepest sympathy to all family and friends. He was a great leader and mentor. He is greatly missed.

Dr. Dennis was my favorite veterinarian at Blue Pearl for years. When my cat was in distress, his compassion and professionalism was a much-needed calming influence. I will always remember his very funny and insightful words.
"Cats don't follow the rules medically or any other way"
He will be missed by so many.
