Tommy, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. He was a precious soul. I have thought of the times we had together often and fondly. Our world has a little less music with this loss. Miss you, too.

I will miss Jerry very much. He was always a good friend to me and a kind, gentle soul. No one ever made me laugh so much as Jerry, and for that I am grateful. He had a knack for seeing the comical side of an otherwise bad situation. I am thankful that I was able to spend some time with him while living and working in Las Cruces.

Tommy,
So sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. May your family find comfort in the memories he left behind in so many hearts.

Tommy, i'm so sorry to hear about your brothers passing. I only met him once and i thought he was the nicest man i had ever met. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. If i can do anything, please let me know.
David

I don't know how many thousands of laps I swam along side Jerry Downs at lunchtime at the NMSU pool. Walking back and forth from our jobs to the outdoor pool, we rarely spoke of work. It was always about Billy, the Cubs (loosing usually) and music. Jerry was an astute observer of human nature and would always tell hilarious stories about people in the audience when he played at Meson de Mesilla. It was always a pleasure to be around him. I will miss him.

Dear Tommy,
I was shocked and sorry to hear about the loss of your brother, Jerry. You are in my thoughts and prayers, my dear friend. God Bless you and yours with His perfect peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Your Spirit will always be with us, Jerry. Your laughter and love resides in out heart. And by the way, I found that penny you left yesterday. As Linda says, send us a text anytime!

Two words described Jerry to me -- "funny" and "selfless." Jerry's wry observations were always good for a laugh, even when we were down. He gave me many a therapy session punctuated with laughter. Jerry always put himself last, to the chagrin of his friends. But that is who he was. It is a good time to remember that when given a choice between laughing and crying, Jerry chose laughter.
