I will miss Jeff. We did quite a lot together. He would come out and visit me in California and we would go to all the tourist places together. We would also golf. In his most recent trip to see me, he drove out (told me how he came out hitting all the lower states and would go back on the upper states so he could see everything). The last few years we would call each other every few months and bring each other up to date on our lives. He seemed to take on more health issues lately, but I...

Our deepest condolences to the Elston Family. We were both saddened and shocked at learning of Jeff´s passing. In a sometimes cynical and callous world there exists those rare individuals who remind us of how genuine, good-hearted, and generous people can be. Jeff was the embodiment of those qualities with his constant smile, modest demeanor, and giving spirit. He truly was a good and honorable man who has left an indelible mark of caring and volunteerism on his community.

Jeff is my baby brother. He was always such a free spirit, he lived life his way, not much really bothered him. It is amazing the number of people whose lives he touched. He was especially proud of the children that he had helped throughout the years. He was well loved and he freely gave his friendship to those who knew him. We will miss him terribly, but will remember all the good times we had. The real shame is that he had just overcome multiple medical complications and was on the way to...

he was an all 'round GREAT guy, an excellent conversationalist, a bona fide history fan and champion dog lover,..... he CARED about other people, showed empathy and optimism always. his word was his bond. the little town of Hankins was all the better for his having lived there.
