Sad to hear this news. I worked at R.I.H. in the facilities HVAC departmentfor 27 years. Lou would always call with air quality issues for his animals. He took such good care of him during his research. He was so intelligent and just an overall caring person compassionate in his work. Prayers to his family. David Miner

Shortly, Luis and I would have been friends for sixty years. From our school days and our volley-ball team, Luis has always been the sweet kind person. To his wife Rosa, his children and grandchildren my sincere condolences. We all lost a very kind and very dear Friend. We all shall miss him. God bless.

I worked with Luis for many years at R.I. Hospital. Life was never boring. He made us smile with his unique expressions and his pragmatic ways. My sympathy to his family.

He was a wonderful, kind, caring individual and was a pleasure to know. Our most interesting conversations were regarding the Azores and mainland Portugal. I am blessed that God put him in my path.
