On Monday August 19, 2019, Jeff Gubitosi passed away comfortably at the age of 45. Jeff was born on December 23, 1973 to Louis and Mary Ann Gubitosi of Parsippany, NJ. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Boston College in 1996. Jeff held many different positions in the finance industry in Boston, Denver, San Diego, and finally in San Francisco with Wells Capital Management. He also spent time in Alaska, and Crested Butte. He last settled in Williams, Oregon with his partner of 4 years David Colligan. Jeff's true passion was nature. He was always looking for the next adventure. He loved photography as well and combined with his love of hiking, he created some breathtaking artwork. His pictures of mountains, lakes, and sunsets were not only admired by friends and family, but also by strangers through his own web site. Jeff was know for his humor, his love of sports(sometimes too much,) and his need to help where he could. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Peanut, Misty, Piker, Dottie, and Buddha. Jeff took time away from work to care for his mother early in her battle with Leukemia. He played a pivotal role helping her overcome the disease, and her remission was the conclusion of some of the hardest work in his life. Jeff himself fought a life-long battle with Crohn's Disease. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Louis, and his mother Mary Ann. He is survived by his partner David, brother Donny and wife Carla, and niece Natalia. There will be no funeral per Jeff's wishes. A celebration of life will take place in Sparta, NJ at a future date. Info will be available here.

Not sure what to say?

"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the special moments that take our breath away." Have no doubts that Jeffrey had many. Sincerely, Linda & Tony B.

My condolences to the Gubitosi family on the loss of Jeff. He was such a great person and funny guy. His love for sports particularly basketball connected us. We competed against each other in fantasy basketball leagues for many years. He will truly be missed. May he Rest in Peace.

David Donald and Carla my deepest sympathy to all of you on the sad passing of Jeff. Jeff was my son Chucks roommate at Boston College. I have many happy memories of Jeff and his parents. Jeff was sensitive caring and kind. I do hope as you reflect on the joy and happiness Jeff brought to others you will be comforted. He was a wonderful young man. Rest in peace Jeff. Monica Abdella

I am so sad to hear this. I did not know Jeffrey that well. Maryann was my cousin. The family has suffered enough. May he rest in peace. God Bless him and his Brother Donny.

I am devastated by the news. Guppy was truly one of a kind, always making people laugh with his great sarcasm and wit. Even though I lost touch with him when he moved west I always felt I had a connection with him through Fantasy Sports, Facebook, etc. Way too early to see him go, my condolences to the Gubitosi family during this difficult time.

I worked with Jeff for a few years at Wells and I will always remember his humor and tenacity. Till this day, I still use some of his resume tips and tricks. I know that he cared deeply for his family and I am very saddened to hear of his loss.

A life well lived but way too short. Sincere condolences to the Gubitosi family and all who knew and loved Jeffrey
