Jeffrey Lee Harlow Jeffrey Lee Harlow, 54, of Palmyra, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 2, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. Born on January 8, 1959, he was the son of the late James C. Harlow. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Becky B. Harlow; a stepdaughter, Wendy L. Conley; and a stepson, Robert W. Conley and his wife, Tina; eight grandkids, all of Yuma, Arizona; one brother, Joel Harlow and his wife, Kate, of Chesapeake, Virginia; a niece, Melanie Harlow; and nephew, Ethan Harlow. Other survivors include brother-in-law, John Bishop and his wife, Brenda; sister-in-law, Earline Flint and her husband, Gary; brother-in-law, Beau Bishop and his wife, Kelly; numerous nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Sergio Velasquez. Jeff also leaves behind his beloved pets, dogs, Trixie and Noah and his cat, Delta Moon. Jeff was a United States Army veteran, serving in Korea from 1976 until 1977, and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal in August 1977. He was a true soldier and qualified as an expert marksman with several weapons. Following his service in the Army, he worked for the Holiday Inn, where he retired after 25 years due to medical concerns. A graveside service with military honors will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at Riverview Cemetery, with Chaplain Greg Compton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Hill and Wood Funeral Home. His family would like to thank his wonderful neighbors and friends, especially his good friends from Riverside Lunch and VFW Post 1827 for their friendship and support. A special thank you also goes out to Hospice of the Piedmont and to Chaplain Greg Compton. Becky you and Wendy know I love you and may you feel Gods hands for confront in this hard time of not having Jeff physically there, but you know he's with you and will be with you when you ride. ;-)

I am so sorry about Jeff, he was a very dear friend to Horace & me, I will miss his little notes he sent us.Our love & prayers are with you & your family,may God bless all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear about my friends passing. Jeff was considered one of my best friends and it hurts that I didn't get to see him before this time came. We had so much fun as kids with our motorcycles (dirt bikes). Our careers separated us and never did get the chance to see each other again. Jeff you were an amazing friend. My thoughts and prayers goes out the family.
