I'd known Jeff since the first grade, but hadn't seen him since the late '70s at Western High. We were at one time the best of friends, riding our bikes everywhere and always getting into mischief. As I recall, he had a gold Huffy, with a banana seat and a slick on the back.
The drain ditch and the pond were our favorite hangouts, whether it was Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall.
We fought from time to time, but always shook hands afterwards and became friends...
