Jeffrey Kline

In our beginning careers, Jeff and I both fought fires for the Bureau of Land Management in Vernal, Ut. We worked on an engine together on initial attack along the Green River and had time to enjoy fishing in my row boat for trout on Steinaker Reservoir. His wife Marilyn, and I were also good friends in those early years when we were all just fledgling's making our way into an adult world. Time marches on, leaving some to carry on without those hoped to help us on that adventure of life.

Jeff was a lead and unit instructor for several fire classes (fire behavior and air attack) that I coordinated at the Great Basin Training Center. He was so knowledgeable in both subject areas, I would say he actually studied it. Above all, he cared about the welfare of the firefighters and wanted to make firefighting in the BLM safer through training. Ill miss Jeffs friendly demeanor and subtle sense of humor.
