Not sure what to say?

Dear Laura, Rick and all the family: I am remembering Jeff often, but especially ten days ago on the anniversary of his passing. I have sent Rick and Laura personal messages on this first, most difficult anniversary. I am still missing my old friend, his joking, and again that mischievous laugh I have always heard down through the years.

I was so very sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. As a grandparent, I am so happy that he got to meet precious Lucy and make memories to take with him. My deepest condolences.

Jeff will be sorely missed. I worked with him at Air Products. He was always coming up with great ideas - a "serial" creator. I especially loved his enthusiasm and the zest he brought to any project he touched. His office was always full of laughter. May God bless you and comfort you in your loss.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Dear Laura, Rick, and the rest of the Knopf family:
Sadly. I heard about Jeff’s passing a few days ago from Rick, my Mom, and Chuck. Thank you so much for taking the time to contact me at what I know is a terribly difficult time for you and the rest of the family. I was deeply saddened and was looking forward to moving back to NJ and spending much time I considered Jeff to be my best friend, despite not being able to see him often. Therefore, I was also very glad to reconnect with Jeff...

I was saddened to read of Jeff’s passing in today’s paper. Jeff was one of the first people I met at Penn State in September 1974. He and his roommate Russ lived next to me in Geary Hall. Always fun to be around, he set a great example of balancing academics with the crazy party scene that was emblematic of Penn State in the 70’s. ( For the record, he leaned much more toward studies than parties). I didn’t know he relocated to the Lehigh Valley or I would have made an effort to stay in touch...

I was so sorry to hear about Jeff’s passing. Thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff and his family.
