Not sure what to say?

Dear Jeff's parents and family,
My son, Travis, involved in the accident in 2006, is doing very good now. I wanted you to know that although there are some mild lingering affects, all in all he is well. When I heard the news about Jeff, I wanted to reach out but wasn't sure how. I cannot imagine losing my son in such a horrific way. My heart bled for you then and I think of you often. I pray that you all have found some peace with knowing that Jeff no longer has to deal with this crazy...

Jeffrey,

All the highschool palls will be getting together when I visit Buffalo next week. We will think of the good times we had, those almost innocent years, and I will tell them how much I miss my friend and how I can't get him off my head.

I miss you my friend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEFF!
THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY I MISS HEARING YOUR VOICE,SEEING YOUR SMILE, AND LAUGHING AT YOUR JOKES! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART!
I LOVE YOU BIG BROTHER!

YOUR SISTER,
JULIE

To the Maher family: Jeff endures in my heart, his absence difficult to contemplate, the circumstances still too terrible and brought forefront by a current TV shows surprise episode. How I miss my friend, so kind and wonderful to us - his friends, Wayne, Ikeda, Chuck, Suzette, Linda, Joel. We shall never forget. May he rest in peace. God has him. We will always love him. Philip J. Penn, Esq. Durham, NC formerly of Charlotte.
