Not sure what to say?

This bear is a gift from JD and sits in my deceased father Bengt's house in Sweden. When JD and Marilyn came to visit my father, he showed JD that he kept JD's bear in his bedroom. JD was a thoughtful, kind and cheerful person that touched others wherever he went. My father and JD had a special connection and we will keep this bear as a memory of JD's, Bengt's and our friendship. Vila i frid JD.

I met JD on my first visit to America 1996 together with my father Bengt and then later in Sweden, America and Paris. JD was a very special person easy to like. I enjoyed our discussions and it was fun just to spend time with him. I will miss him next time I visit America but I am greatful for the moments we had together. The picture is taken during a trip 2014 with Marilyn - probably in Petoskey.

Rest well my friend. You made me smile. God speed!

Thank you for letting us know you. Remember especially when we met in Sweden and celebrated Midsummer together. Yesterday we looked at pictures from that occasion and found a picture from Borgholm's castle where you sit on a throne. Nice memories.

I know few people with as big a heart and personality as JD. I feel privileged to have known him. The world feels a little dimmer and colder without his exuberant self in it! So sad, and many condolences to Mary, Marilyn and JD's relatives.

I did not know JD very well but the few times we met I could tell just how wonderful a person he was. I know he will be missed greatly... and he touched a lot of peoples hearts, including mine. May he rest peacefully

I knew JD when he worked for me. His obit captured the essence of JD and his picture spread the warmth of his smile. It was a fitting memorial for a beautiful man. Nancy Burgett Butts

To The family of JD, Marilyn and Mari, I was so shocked to hear of his passing. I took one look at the great photo of him you chose and burst into tears. What a great guy he was! He was always so happy and kind. I worked with him briefly at Burgett Floral. He was such a pleasure to work with. So helpful and embodied that team spirit. Not to mention creative. I would run into him at Jazz concerts at St. Cecilia and we would hug and catch up a minute. I looked forward to the concerts because I...
