I Just found this. Dr. Pearl attended to me as surgeon back in 1992. I will never forget how caring he was. I have a recurrence of a similar concern and just went on line to see if I could find him again. I am SO sorry to learn of his passing. He was so smart, curios, not arrogant. And he was so empathetic. he called me on a Saturday and had asked the pathology department to quickly read my labs. He was happy to report a benign situation. I worked with Dr. Pearl at UCSF in the early 2000s. I loved every opportunity I got to be with him! He was funny and kind and genuinely enjoyed working with staff. Please know that he had a big impact on me and many staff at UCSF. Much love to your family.
