Jeffrey Earl Perkins October 24, 2010 "I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself."- Exodus 19:4 After having braved many a stormy night, years of defeated health, Jeff found perfect peace and rest in the arms of Jesus. Having been welcomed home by the One who makes all things new…he now eagerly awaits the day when the reunion will be complete. Born on September 02, 1958 in Anderson, Indiana to Earl and Virginia (Boyer) Perkins, he began a journey that would afford many memories. He attended Madison Heights High School. Following in the footsteps of his dad he found his niche in automobile sales and service. However that is not where his many talents ended. He also did home maintenance and construction. Throughout his lifetime Jeff never met a stranger, and much like his parents he was always there with a lending hand to those in need. His many passions included family, fishing, camping and his love for the great outdoors. Jeff leaves many loved ones to cherish the memories that were made: his beloved wife, Cindy (Zirkelbach) Perkins; parents, Earl and Virginia Perkins; sisters, Jennifer and husband, Jeff Robinson, Julie Perkins and Sandy Ward; stepdaughter, Angie Naylor; special friends, Kim Staggs, Bill and De Hale, Patty Ward and a host of many others; mother-in-law, Patty Brown; stepgrandchildren, Zachary, Meghan, Frankie and Noah Naylor; nephew, Joseph Key; nieces, Jennie and Janelle Robinson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Nellie Perkins and Roscoe and Pauline Boyer; father-in-law, Robert Zirkelbach; and uncles, Max Boyer and Rev. Terry Bailey. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Connection Pointe Church. Mr. and Mrs. Perkins, Jennifer,Julie,Sandy and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It has been a long time since I have seen your family and even longer since I had seen Jeff. I believe it was at Hook's in the Southdale Plaza. He always made me laugh and had a good spirit about him. I know his loss is very painful but knowing he is now walking with Jesus may ease the pain a little. I will always be thinking of your family and praying for guideance and peace. With love Kathy Ayres.
