Jeffrey D. Pritchard, 71, of Bangor, PA, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, November 14th, at his residence. 


Jeffrey was born in East Stroudsburg, PA on October 23, 1952, a son of the late David R. "Dakey" and Bridella (Weidner) Pritchard. He was the husband of Tammy (Rogers) Pritchard. Together, they celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary this past September. 



Jeff was a 1970 graduate of Bangor High School, a 1975 graduate of East Stroudsburg University, and a graduate of the Allentown Police Academy. He was employed as a Police Officer at East Stroudsburg University, Police Dept. in East Stroudsburg, PA, until retiring in 2011. Prior to that, Jeff was a Police Officer for Bangor Borough for 10 years.     Jeff enjoyed hunting on the Poliskiewicz Estate, and the Oyer Farm and vacationing with his friends at Dewey Beach and Ocean City, NJ. 


He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church of the Slate Belt in Bangor, PA. Jeff was an active member for over 50 years with Liberty Fire Co. in Bangor and a social member of Columbia Fire Co. in Roseto.


In addition to his wife, Tammy, Jeff is survived by a sister, Gwendolyn A. Davis, in-laws Dave and Nancy Kaiser, two brothers in law Michael and Rob Kaiser, two nephews Chase and Austin, two nieces Makayla and Aleeyah, and his best companion Chance.  He was predeceased by his nephew Gregory Davis.


Funeral services will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, November 19th at Christ Presbyterian Church of the Slate Belt, 332 Kennedy Dr., Bangor, PA.  Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, November 19th at the church. The burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Bangor, PA.   Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com

Jeff was a really good guy.... I worked with Jeff on my original midnight shift, when i broke into the Police Dept at ESU. I Learned a lot from him.....He had a great sense of humor......My condolences to his family as well.......Rich Connell
