Jeffrey Philip Ray

I had the privilege of getting to know Jeff when he was a Masters student at Purdue. He was smart, hardworking, thoughtful, and kind - and we had some fun playing basketball in the graduate student league! Just know that all of us who had the chance to work with Jeff at Purdue extend our deepest sympathies and our thoughts and prayers to the family. I hope your memories of this exceptional man can provide you some comfort at this most difficult time. Jay Akridge

Had the privilege of having Jeffrey as a student at Purdue University and being his thesis advisor- he was highly motivated and a joy to work with-his professional and personal contributions and legacy will not be forgotten. My sympathy to his family, coworkers and friends.

One thing I want to say (besides that you are not alone) is that as long as a person is mentioned in conversation, I do not believe that they are gone--not really. Keep talking about Jeff; he is worth remembering. You and Emma and Ben have our prayers.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. He was a mentor to our son Ben for confirmation. Such a great role model. We enjoyed working with him with the Son Light Sunday School class. He was an amazing person. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family at this time.
