Eulogy

You can choose to mourn my passing ... or ... you can choose to celebrate that I lived. It doesn't seem possible to do both - so we are going to work really hard at doing the celebrating. We cannot be so selfish to not realize the many, many, years, the many, many memories that are family has had…….there are so many people that do not get to share what we have enjoyed.

I developed a real attitude of “gratitude of each day.”

I believe The Lord knew that it...

Charlene and Family, I just returned home from a trip to discover that my lifelong friend, Jeff had passed away. It had been many years since we had talked and I didn't know he was ill. Being his next door neighbor and constant sidekick in our highschool years, I have many special memories and stories that I will keep forever. We joined the Navy together, but became seperated in later years. I am sorry for your loss, Jeff was really a great guy. See you on the "other side" Bro!

Charlene and family the passing of your husband and father is a huge loss, not only to you but to those that also loved and admired Jeff. The remembrance of Jeff makes me smile. His never say die attitude, his unwavering positiveness whether he was down on his back fighting the dreaded "C" word, or down a few strikes on the bowling lane. Jeff was a "mans" man, a man who could see the worth and value of another man by judging not by the job application but by looking into ones eyes and heart....

Hi Charlene: I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make it to the service today. My evil dogs bit a lady on their morning walk and i ended up at the ER instead. i really appreciated seeing you and jeff briefly at Lena's service and really wanted to be there for you today. let me know if i can be of any use or help in any way. your family's love and support has always meant so much to me and my suter gene would love to be useful. if not, know that my heart and spirit is with you. love, suzanne

To the Ruehle family and Charlene. My name is Jay Rothermel and I worked for your husband/dad at West Coast Grocery 1979-1984. I had not seen your dad for probably 20 years and many of you have probably never heard of me because it was so long ago. I saw your dad's obituary in the paper last week and wanted to attend his funeral today to tell him thank you for what he did for me back then and what kind of an influence he had on me during those years. When I worked for your dad I was in my...

Jeff and I were best friends in high school and I will forever remember him opening his heart to me over his loves as I thought no boy was capable of! His kind heart and warm spirit will be long remembered.

Charlene, Steve, Nikki, Karen, Jake and kids,
May God Bless you and keep you strong in your time of sorrow. We are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers always. Jeff will be sadly missed by all. Love and prayers from Ed, Thelma & Dave Romero and Rod, Pat & Justus Downey in Pueblo, CO

My prayers go with you and your family. I will always cherish my memories of the years that we were friends and of the fun that we had in our younger years. Jeff was a good friend. Love Jerry

Dear Friends,
You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers today, as everyday. I can't help but smile at the thought that Roy has his buddy with him today...and I am sure they are talking about the grandkids! Your loss rings true to us today. But I also find peace in knowing Jeff is now in the Lords hands and is no longer on this earth. He is in a truely better place , please find comfort in knowing that.
May he shine over you everyday and provide you with strength. And know...
