As a former member of the WSB trumpet section, I recall how we struggled to capture the essence of swing, even seeking an outside tutor. Jeff's dad, an experenced lead trumpetor had brought hm to set-in at our rehearsal. He was just fourteen and I was so impressed by his musicianship and performance with the section with modesty-shyness. I remember thinking with talent such as this our future will always swing..
