Slade Family,
I just heard of your father's passing. I caddied for Mr. Slade for many years. It took a few rounds to get over his towering appearance but it was easy to see he was an exceptional man. I enjoyed being his caddie and it was always a pleasure to caddie in his groups. He always shared life stories and his ideas of lessons to live by. I knew your father and husband starting in 1972, when I was invited to play golf with him and some of his friends. The person who invited me to play was John Janes. I don't know why, but Jeff always wanted me to ride with him in his golf cart. His favorite saying in those days when he hit a god shot was "Randolph Street and the Loop, Every Body Out!"
