I knew Jeff from my, & his, first days @ U of Wisconsin, so '69 til '77. Jeff had a terrific and terrifically dry sense of humor. He never laughed at his own jokes, either. He was one of a kind. I'm tempted to say they broke the mold after Jeff was made but he would smile and say "He**, they broke the mold BEFORE I was made!" RIP, Jeffrey
