Not sure what to say?

Jeff worked for me at Danbury Airways during one of his furloughs at American Airlines. He was a great pilot and a good friend. My son John, also a AaA pilot, just informed me of Jeff's passing. My condolences Brenda to you and your family. John

I flew with Jeff several times on the venerable 727. He always paid attention to detail and made sure we ran a smooth and safe operation. His dedication to the craft was admirable. I hope I was able to carry a bit of that with me through the rest of my career. I pass my condolences to the family.

Steinberg Family My deepest condolences to your family. I flew with Jeff many times at American Airlines. We flew together domestically on the B757/767. We shared many conversations of our faith from his Jewish faith and my Christian faith and their commonality during the flights to and from the West coast. He was a unique soul and I really enjoyed his friendship. He will be greatly missed. I regret that I didn´t reach out to him earlier once he retired and we continued our lives and...

My deepest condolences on the loss of Jeff. I flew with him many times at American and it was always enjoyable and interesting. We had many good times together and I have told many tales of some adventures with him. I hope his passing was peaceful and his last years of life were fulfilling and enjoyable !

I am sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. We retired at the same time, and I'd hoped he would enjoy many more happy years. Jeff and I flew the 757 several times when I'd take a domestic make-up trip. Jeff was thorough and careful but enjoyed turning off the automation on short trips between places like DFW and San Antonio. We called it flying naked because we didn't use the autopilot, flight director, or the auto-throttles. We just flew-my sympathies to the family.

During the furlough (1981-1983) Jeff and I flew the Cessna Citation business jet for a company in Danbury, Connecticut. One afternoon we heard the Space Shuttle's B747 on our frequency. Jeff was flying, and soon we were in route formation with the NASA flight with the shuttle piggyback descending for a flyby of Manhattan for Fleet Week. We stayed with them from for 10 minutes, then flew VFR up the CT coast. We were two airline pilots let loose in our own private jet. Jeff was always up for a...
