Not sure what to say?

I didn't know Jeffrey Troebs, but what I heard about him moved me to tears. He sounded like a really great guy who will be missed by everyone who knew him, especially his adoring son. I can't say my name, but I wanted the Troebs family to know that you have the support of many.

I knew Jeffrey from public school, college, and the neighborhood (Rhawnhurst). I will always remember his smile and good nature. He was a great person. I'm sorry that I lost touch with him during our college years and am so saddened by his death. The tributes at his memorial service were very touching. May God bless. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his parents, son, and all family, friends and coworkers. He will surely be sorely missed and will serve as a shining example of how to live...

I was in scouting with Jeff (my Dad was a Cub Scout Leader for a time) and Kim (in Brownies). Even though I've been out of the neighborhood awhile now and out of touch with the Troebs Family, I remember what an outstanding individual Jeff was, his sense of humor and how much fun we all had. Mr. & Mrs. Troebs raised 2 great kids!
I can imagine what a great Dad Jeff was and I know that Tyler has his Dad's many great qualities.
Tyler, Charley & Ellen Troebs, Kim & Family, I am so sorry...

I worked with Jeff in the 24th district where I got to know him very well. Jeff had three passions in his life, Flying a plane, being a dedicated police officer, but the greatest passion that was his, was his very own son, Tyler. A glow came over his face at the mention of his name, and Jeff could keep talking for ever about Tyler. He was everything to Jeff. Jeff was as best of an example of a human being that I have had the pleasure of knowing, and I will miss him very much.

I knew Jeff many years ago from Scouting and as a neighbor. The tragic news of his death saddens me and my entire family deeply. Our sincerest condolences to the Troebs family.

It was an honor and privelege to know Jeff. His memory lives on in our hearts. May God's everlasting love be with Jeff forever and ever.

I knew Jeff many years ago. We made Eagle Scout together back in 1977. I was saddened by the news of his passing. My condolences to the Troebs family.

Jeff will be missed by everyone whose life he has touched. I first got to know him as a conscientious, fair and compassionte police officer. Integrity was important to him. After the birth of his son, Tyler, Jeff became the role model that all fathers should be. Tyler was his world. Jeff was a devoted father, as well as, a devoted sworn officer in the Philadelphia Police Dept. He was a good friend. I am sadden by his death and will miss him greatly. With his passing, we have lost one...
