Not sure what to say?

I love you and miss you, Jeff, beyond words. Our family has lost another love, as Hadara's gallant fight is over. I'm sure you two cousins have joined. Peace!!

I loved Jeff like another son. He and my son-in-law Seamus were such amazingly good friends. Now they are both gone and I picture them when I watch the sun rise, floating on neighboring pink clouds, discussing everything in the world just like they did in life. He was unique and special and he is not forgotten.

I do have memories of a wonderful son that I can keep to console me at times. At other times I go on with the present times, such as celebrating Virginia's recent 21st birth anniversary and her achievements in school. I'm sure Jeff knows.

Jeff, my grief remains as overwhelming but my love and understanding grow stronger daily. I often wonder how you'd react to our current times and then sometimes the answer is revealed to me when I remember a conversation we had right after Katrina hit New Orleans. At other times I know the answer by understanding that your spirit is still with us in Virginia. Thank you for all of this.

Oh my how we would talk about the things that are happening in our world right now! Your sense of justice, caring, respect and inclusion is missed. Loving you and all our beautiful ancestors that have gone before!

Today is the 50th anniversary of Jeff"s birth. I miss him so very much but I am blessed with the wonderful memories he left. He is still with family and friends spiritually through Virginia Ruth who has his wit, intellect, love of family and friends, love of music, care for humanity and his leadership skills. Knowing all the dark things he experienced in his short life, I still have hope for a brighter future.

We see your imprint in our lives daily! I miss you!!

I just learned today of Jeff's passing. I went to high school with him at Dimond. I don't remember if I knew him personally or just in the halls, but enough that he made an impression all these years later. I'm sad for your tragic loss...I'm sorry this comes so late.

Please know Jeff made a life long impression on those he met. We were friends at U of O and I was just searching to get in touch with him. I remember all of our debates, challenging conversations, and never ending laughter. He had a genuine spirit that I'll never forget. I am sorry to hear of this news and I hope you find continued comfort in knowing he is living on in all of us who knew him.
