Not sure what to say?

Jeff Yates was one of the people who encouraged my interest in law enforcement (along with then Sgts. Getz, Capodiferro and Theriault) when FPD started its' initial Police Explorer program in 1973. He was always there with a quick & easy smile, he listened to my questions and answered them instead of simply turfing off a 17 yr. old kid with long hair. I never heard anything bad said about him, which speaks volumes for someone who served in multiple supervising capacities for so many years....

Dear Eileen & Family,

Our deepest sympathy on your loss. Jeff and I had quite a few talks in the past years and he helped me out a few times with his words of wisdom. Jeff was a good man and will be missed tremendously.

All our love,
Chris, Laurie and Isabella Kerr

Dear Eileen and family,

We were saddened to learn of Jeff's death. We have been praying that you and the family would be comforted and nurtured by our loving Savior during this most difficult time. Judi and I are so glad we had the chance to spend time with you and Jeff last October. We'll treasure the memory of our visit together.

Love, Pete and Judi

Eileen, Kate, Jen, Kim & Chris,

You were so blessed to have had such a kind, devoted, and loving husband and father. The tribute that this community gave him was so well deserved, and he gave us one last gift by allowing us be a part it. We couldn't have been more proud to have been part of his family. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Love,

Susan, Carl & Kirby

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Yates family...It is a very sad time for all of you...We hope that the memories you hold will help you get through this difficult time...

I was a typical 8 year-old neighborhood kid when Jeff & Eileen moved in to their house, but I remember it vividly because they were so tolerant of me. I ended up getting lots of babysitting opportunities from it! I don't think there was a nicer, kinder person on the street than Jeff.
Tom & I send our heartfelt love and well wishes to Eileen, Kathleen, Jenn-a-fur, and Kimberly. We wish we could be there to pay our respects to a wonderful man and his family.

Dear Eileen, We are so very sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. We will miss Jeff for his kindness and gentle ways, and his smile could always light up a room. Jeff will always be the "best looking man" I have ever met. My Mother and sister send their love and prayers, as well as my brother Neal. We all feel very fortunate to have had his friendship through the years. Our prayers are with you and your family. God bless you. Felicia, Joe, Mariann, Mary and Neal

"To laugh often and much, to win respect and affection of others, to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived ... this is to have succeeded" (Emerson)

Uncle Jeff was a great success in life, an amazing person, loved by many, especially his family. It helps to know he's watching over every one of us now.

We love and miss you very much and are there with you in spirit.

Hugs and Kisses,
Alana & Paul
