Not sure what to say?

Heartfelt condolences to Jeff's family - I'm very sorry for your loss. I just learned of Jeff's passing, and I am deeply saddened by such news. When I was 12 years old, I saw a TV AD run by Continental Cablevision offering the chance to run a Public Access TV show on their cable network channel. I lit up at the idea of running a TV show and I immediately contacted the number provided. Jeff joked about how he came into work one morning to over a dozen voicemail messages left by a 7th...

Aunty Judy, Snookie, Kimmy and Delaney- I am glad to have just learned about this guest book for Jeff's friends and family. What a great tribute! Like everyone, I was shocked to learn of your great loss. I wanted to call you shortly afterward, but didn't know the words to speak to you. As the mother of seven children, I cannot comprehend how you were able to live through such a tragedy. I'm sure you held on to each other like never before. I held my children tightly the day I found out...

My life wasn't the same after we became friends, and those awesome memories still live with me today. I miss you Jeff.

Rest dearly in peace my good friend Dios Te Bendiga

I found out about Jeff's passing, on a bright and sunny day, that is how I will always remember him.

Jeffrey F. Zomek

Learning to live
learning to die,
coming to you Lord
not asking why.
Knowing your plan
is greater than mine,
knowing my journey
will intertwine,
Coming home I now see
coming home,
to be set free.

I know it is 6 months after the fact, but I just found out about Jeffrey's death. I knew Jeff many years ago during our "club days." He was always a fun guy to hang with. There always seemed to be a party around him. A real free spirit. Even though we had not kept in touch for over 8 years, I am truly saddened by his death. But a lot of wonderful fun memories are flooding back to me as I write this. Just like he would want.

Jeff is greatly missed by Springfield Comcast staff and people who also worked at City Hall. He is especially being thought of during the holidays. Whenever something funny happens at work, or, something stressful, I reach for the phone to call him. It's just not the same since he's been gone. He was loved by many, and is missed by many, especially me.

Thanksgiving came and went and Christmas is soon. I can't say that there has been one day I haven't thought about Jeff Zomek. He was the perfect holiday soul, always giving, always sharing a happy moment. Again, to his family, I cannot know your grief still. But I do know that you had raised an incredible person. Thank you. Jeff changed me. I am a better person because of him.

So long, good friend.
