To the wonderful family of my step-brother, Jeff. This is a terrible loss for all of you but we all know that Jeff lived life to the fullest. He brought nature to kids who, without Jeff's efforts, would never have experienced or appreciated it. He traveled, he read, he was a man of the world. My sincerest condolences and please know that you still have "family" in California.

I am quite sad to hear this. I was his family doc for years and always delighted to see him or any family member on my schedule. So bright, committed, sweet, always trying to make the world a better place. Portland and the world was fortunate to have him. Sigh!

Friends and family, I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's death. He was bigger than life and it is hard to imagine an envirnoment without him. Jeff's legacy of work and kindness lives on for those lucky enough to know him and those lucky enough to benefit from his environmental work. He did so much in his life. I am glad I knew him.

I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. He was a wonderful force at OMSI and I enjoyed working with him. I know he's up there fly-fishing to his heart's content and is happy to be reunited with his beloved Emily.
