Not sure what to say?

I loved my Grandmother. She was always there for me, always supportive, always loving and without fail, ALWAYS remembered my birthday. As adults, we tend to seek comfort in childhood memories. I am no exception. Growing up, my time with Grandma was cherished. I looked forward to the Jewett City visits...especially the overnights with my Mom. Handmade shells with homemade sauce and meatballs, listening to my cousins' albums on the turntable, movies on cable TV, summertime swims in the river,...

After a long and trying trip home to California after attending my grandmothers funeral, it has been such a joy and comfort to read these wonderful memories that so eloquetly capture who she was as a person, a caretaker and the glue that bound our family together. She remains an inspiration to us all. I miss her more than any words can express but I thank God every day that she rests in peace. I love you, Gram...you are with me always.

I always thought of Aunt Jennie as a very special and caring lady. I have fond memories of her that will stay with me forever. Madeleine and Louie Rubino

My thoughts of Aunt Jennie have always been of a warm, wonderful, understanding and classy lady. She was the most elegant woman I knew as a child. She was also one of my mothers best friends and was very important to her. She is fondly remembered and I hope she passed without too much suffering. Our condolences to the family, in their time of grief. God will welcome her & she is now at peace.

I have been away from Jewett City for many years – both in distance and mentally. But in all that time I have found that the person whose conversations, home, advice and personality always comes to mind was Aunt Jenny’s. Her home on Carely Avenue was always an exciting and cultured refuge for me as a young man. Aunt Jenny was one of the few adults, who not only took an interest in what I wanted to do; but she was willing to listened to what a young mind wanted to talk about. Aunt Jenny...

Growing up on Carely Avenue I knew Mrs. Marinello for years. As an adult with a family we moved back to that street and subsequently ended up having her for our landlady for several years. I was always so impressed with her thoughtfulness and kindness to others and her devotion to her family. She was such a lady in every way. We used to sit on our back step and drool with the aromas of her cooking coming from her half of the house, and she often shared her creations with us! I still have...

When I was a young child, I lived next door to Mrs. Marinello and have such nice memories of her. It's been over 25 years now, and I still think of her and my times with her family on Carley Avenue. My condolences to the family...

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

MAY YOUR LOVE OF FRIENDS AND FAMILYCARRY YOU THROUGH YOUR GRIEF. ENJOYED YOUR MOTHER, AS SHE WAS SUCH A SPECIAL LADY
