Jennie Pupek

1921 – 2018

West Springfield – Jennie (Klepadlo) Pupek, 97 died Tuesday at The Arbors in Westfield, surrounded by her loving family.  The daughter of the late Aleksander and Stanislawa (Zaikowski) Klepadlo, she was born in Rockwood, PA and grew up in Whatley and South Deerfield. She and her husband, Frank, shared 63 years of married life together in West Springfield. She worked many years in the bakery of the West Springfield School System, retiring as the head baker in 1989.  She and her husband traveled across the country enjoying the beauty of the nation that Frank fought for during World War II. They also visited Poland to search for their ancestral roots, finding family connections there.  Jennie was the heart of her family, loving, caring, and encouraging them all to be their best. Her joy was to do for others and to share the products of her many talents, including gardening, needlework, and her treasured cooking creations.  Jennie was predeceased by her loving husband Frank, her brothers Stanley and Joseph Klepadlo, and her sisters Sabina Lozoski and Regina Reffi.  She leaves two children, Teresa Goetzl and her husband Robert and Frank Pupek and his wife Kathy Mahoney; four grandchildren, Adam and David Goetzl and Melissa and Andrea Pupek; two step grandchildren, Sara and Michael Beith; and two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Dante Cimicchi of Orvieto, Italy. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 12:30pm followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Monday 11:30am – 12:30pm.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.
