Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home - Point Pleasant Beach Obituary

Jennifer Lee Breda Barth, 58, passed away at her home on December 13th, 2025.

Born and raised in Point Pleasant Beach, Jennifer attended Antrim School and graduated from Point Pleasant Beach High School before permanently residing in Point Pleasant Boro. She began her career at Central Jersey Bank and Trust, later continuing at First National Bank of Toms River.

Above all, Jennifer poured her heart into her family—her three children were truly her world.

A lover of animals, she loved her cat AJ dearly.

She was deeply involved in the PTO at Ocean Road School and served as a dedicated Girl Scout leader for many years. A faithful parishioner of St. Peter’s Church in Point Pleasant Beach, her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Jennifer was predeceased by her father, John G. Breda Jr. She is survived by her loving mother, Maureen Breda of Brick; her son Gerald Brian Barth II and daughter-in-law Ariana of Manasquan; her daughter Lindsay and son-in-law Brian Ricketts of Summerville, SC; her daughter Nicole Marie Barth of North Charleston, SC; her sister Beth Breda of Brick; her brother John William Breda (Deborah) of Delmar, MD; her sister Maureen Murphy (Matthew) of New Bedford, Massachusetts; and her two cherished grandsons, Brian Ricketts Jr. and Gerald Brian Barth III. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 3:00–7:00 PM at Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home, 812 Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach.

Not sure what to say?

I met Jenny when we were 5 years old at Antrim school. Even then she was a star in our class and stood out as a leader and someone that represented all that was good in our small home town. I’ll always remember her smile and personality that made my childhood with her special. Sending love and peace to Jenny’s family.

Jennifer was a warm and radiant person who was loved by so many people. She will be remembered for her beauty as well as her kindness.

seems like yesterday that we were dating

Hey Jen B., it's your little brother who you used to keep from getting in trouble. You always made me laugh. You are in a great place. At least I know I have a guardian angel until I see you again.

I was so sad to hear of Jenny's passing. Sending sincere condolences to the Breda and Barth families from the Brusgard family.
