This is very sad. I remember as a highschool kid in the early 1980's going over to the Caldwell's for Sunday long runs and being impressed by Jennifer. Seeing how tough she was in ski races was inspiring. She was always smiling too. She left many people with good memories.

I mainly saw Jennifer whizzing by on skis or in a canoe. Always looked for her at Clearlakes Chorale. She did a lot of living in her life. I wish she could have been with us longer. Condolences to Howie, Anya, and the Bean and Caldwell families.

Jen's loss leaves a hole in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her. Her courage and good cheer in the face of her illness were exemplary. My first memory of Jen is of her walking into our law office where we both worked in the 1980's ON TIME and full of energy after biking with Howie some 70+ miles around Lake Winnipesaukee. I loved watching her sing with Clearlakes, seeing her paddling fiercely down the Smith River, and just talking with her about anything. I didn't do enough...
