Edgar, Jennifer L. (Legus) After a long and valiant battle with breast cancer, and surrounded by loving family and friends, Jennifer Lynn Edgar, age 42, very peacefully accepted the hand of God on Wednesday, April 16, 2008. Jennifer grew up in the general Minneapolis area and was a 1983 graduate of Edina High School, where she developed many life long friends. She received her bachelor's degree at Arizona State University and it was in Arizona that she found the man of her dreams, Brian Edgar. Married in 1991, Jennifer convinced Brian that year-long-sunshine could not compare with change-of-seasons, and they have lived in their beautiful, flower gardened, home in Chanhassen, Minnesota since 1992. Jennifer was a tenacious worker with excellent management and organizing skills, and her professional career at the John Ryan Co., at Xperex Corp. and at Wells Fargo revolved around the use of these attributes. Jennifer was a woman of beautiful presence and heart. She was able to blend beauty, intelligence, elegance and humor into a magnificent person. She was gregarious and vibrant, and she lit up the room with her effervescent personality, her smile and her wit. If you were in Jennifer's presence you would soon be smiling. As such a person, she developed many, many friends with whom she was able to share and enjoy the journey of her wonderful life. Jennifer is survived by Brian, her loving husband of 17 years; father and wife, Jim and Robbie Legus of Rio Verde, AZ.; mother and husband, Kay and Don Roepke of Edina, MN.; brother, David Legus; sister, Leslie (Jacob) Reamer; sister, Katherine Roepke (and friend Leo Furcht); brother, Tony (Gretchen) Roepke; brother, Scott Roepke (and friend Patti Bures); father and mother-in- law Cle and Marleah Edgar; sister-in- law, Nancy Edgar; grandmothers, Pearle Balzer, Grace Roepke, and Ilale Hunt; Uncles and Aunts, Peter (and Shelley) Legus, Pat (and Bob) Gillette, Linda (and Howard) Ross, Doug Balzer, Colleen (and George) Lyman, and Mary (and David) Dietrich. Jennifer is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces, all of whom Jennifer loved dearly. With her love for children, Jennifer also developed special friendships with many of the children of friends and neighbors. We wish to express our gratitude and thanks to her many friends who were always there for her, especially during her battle with cancer. They are too many to name, but they know how much Jennifer, Brian and their families appreciated their loving friendship. We would also like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Mark Sborov, Dr. John Trusheim and the entire 8th floor staff at Fairview Southdale Hospital for the fine medical care, encouragement and the special love they gave Jennifer. The celebration of Jennifer's wonderful life will begin with a Visitation from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 20th, at the Washburn-McReavy Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, (952-975-0400). Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 22nd, at St. Victoria Catholic Church, 8228 Victoria Drive, Victoria, MN. (952- 443-3866). There will be a visitation one hour prior to Service, and there will be a luncheon at the Church following the service. Donations may be made in memory of Jennifer to the University of Minnesota Cancer Center, c/o Minnesota Medical Foundation, PO Box 64001, St. Paul, MN 55164. Memorials that are identified as being for Jennifer Edgar will be specifically allocated to the Cancer Center's breast cancer research program.

Not sure what to say?

I was a Roommate of Jennifer's for a few years while we were in College. She made life FUN! I remember flying to Minneapolis with Jennifer and meeting her Family. Just the nicest people I have met. We went to Edina and she tried to get me to go Snipe hunting. Lol We ended up going up North near Deluth to spend a couple nights at a Family lodge, up near the boundary waters. I had the best night's sleep of my Life. A place I have kept in my memory and gone to during my tough times in my life....

Dear Jennifer,
Thinkng of you today as I prepare for the upcoming "race for the cure". Springime always makes me think of your flowers and your colorful personality.I miss your smile. You were a great neighbor and friend.

Brian,

It is October 2nd. I just learned about Jennifer's passing from Matt Loskota. When he told me tonight, it took my breath away. I am so sorry for your loss and wish I would've known and could've been there for you.

I really did love Jennifer. We had so many laughs and she was such a brilliant light. I send you love and light and hope you are finding comfort with time.

We all miss her, Brian.

Love,

I remember Jennifer from High School days. She was so friendly and happy. Her smile was contagious. I am saddened to hear of this news. May the Lord surround himself around Jennifer's family/friends during this difficult time. God Bless.

To Jennifer's Family:

Jennifer was truly a remarkable individual. She possessed a great project management work style that she could always integrate into her own gregarious and warm personality; making projects we worked on together during her time with the XperEx Corporation that much more enjoyable and a heck of alot of fun!!

Many times I often find myself looking back to her style in which she interacted with us as a client and assess my own project management skills...

To Jennifer's family,

I too was compelled to write after reading her beautiful obituary this past Sunday.

I recently decided to walk the Susan G. Komen "3-Day Walk for the Breast Cancner Cure". It was a difficult choice as it's a 60-mile walk in 3 Days. I kept praying for a sign to make me sign up for this journey. When I opened the paper on Sunday, I immediatlely saw Jennifer's picture and continued reading on. In my heart, I feel that this may have been my sign. After...

My deepest sympathies to Jennifer's family & friends. Jennifer & I had been very good friends in high school. I will always have great memories of her, including working together at Byerly's, being in band/musicals together and spending time with many common friends. We will keep her, her family & her friends in our prayers.
John & Family

My deepest sympathies to Jennifer’s family. I have worked with Jennifer for more than a year, and her contributions, and most importantly her witty personality will be missed.

I was fortunate to live next door to the lovely and vibrant Jennifer for many years. She was bubbly and fun and also deeply intelligent and witty. I will miss our lively book club discussions. I will never forget her hospitality and welcoming spirit. She was a ray of sunshine.
