My heart is heavy since this incident and though I have been assaulted on the job several times, nothing this serious has happened to anyone in our department. I attended the candelight vigil and wish I could attend the funeral with my coworkers, but I have to work today. I am originally from Saginaw Township. God bless the family; I know it is difficult to understand why such senseless acts happen to the "good guys."
