Lots of love Jenn we miss you

Jennifer Headley, the Himalayas/South Asia program co-ordinator in the WWF's UK office, has died. She was killed after a helicopter chartered by conservation group WWF crashed in the wilderness around Kangchenjunga, about 400 kilometres east of Kathmandu.
Headley – a young Mississauga, Ont., woman who has been working in Nepal for two years to protect the dwindling population of pandas and other at-risk animals – was returning from a ceremony in a large conservation area in eastern Nepal when the helicopter failed to arrive at its destination, a journey that was expected to take just 20 minutes.
The day of the disappearance started as a joyful one.
The large ceremony that the people aboard the ill-fated helicopter were attending marked the handing over of the management of the Kangchenjunga conservation area to the local communities with the support of the Nepalese government.
The area is a geographic and environmental marvel about 100 kilometres from Mount Everest, the world's highest peak.
Headley joined WWF in Britain in August 2003, and soon relocated to Nepal. She spent a year there supporting species conservation and in November, 2005, became the Eastern Himalayas regional co-ordinator, based in Kathmandu, the nation's capital.

To all the people who loved Jenn,
I got the train most days with Jenn when she worked at WWF-UK. She was truly lovely. A real sparkle in her eye & a genuinely kind spirit. We messed around & joked about quite a lot & this is how Ill always think of her :-)

I want to give condolences to the late Jennifer Headley. When she was working in Nunavut, I had the pleasure of working with her for the Department of Sustainable Development. She was the most generous person I knew. When I heard about the crash, I was distraught and I wanted to give my condolences to her family and friend. She will be greatly missed and that was heart breaking. She had lots of friends in Nunavut, that was her nature, and that will never be replaced. Tears are not enough

To the Headley family, I am so sorry for your loss. Deidre and I were roommates at McMaster University in 1997. Although I didn't get to meet Jennifer, her presence was felt everywhere, at home and in the many stories told to me. I am deeply saddened by this news.

Jenn was truly an inspirational person. Always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile, she will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched. I met Jenn at McMaster while we were a part of "Main West", the student jazz choir. She was a very special person with many gifts. Those who knew her will never forget her.

I have just learned of Jenn's passing. Jennifer and I were good friends in elementary and high school, then lost touch, but I have never forgotten her. Jennifer was such a caring person, and I know that her presence will be greatly missed. My love goes to her family and friends.

To Jennifer’s family,
I am so sorry to hear of Jennifer sudden departure. I had the privilege to meet Jennifer when I was living in International House (IH) at McMaster. Many years have passed, but I will always remember her friendliness and ever-cheerful smile.
With heartfelt sympathy and may memories comfort you all.

I remember Jennifer and her sisters when they were in the Sunday School at Dundas Centre in London. She was a lovely, bright young girl and you must be so proud of the adult she became.
