Not sure what to say?

Dr. Jennifer D. Johnson was my music teacher and mentor @ The Weequahic High School in Newark, New Jersey. It was through her training and commitment that I was Director of The Weequahic H.S. Gospel Choir, Student Director of Weequahic H.S. Mixed Chorus, member of the madrigal group & Soloist. I learned so much from this Awesome Woman. "From Bach to Gospel" that was my favorite saying when it came to Dr. Johnson. Negro-Spirituals, Hymns, Classical you name it I learned it all. I sing in...

There is not a day that goes by without remembering Jennifer. She became my closest friend and soulmate from the moment we met when we were in high school in the 60s. She accompanied me on the piano for several competitions which I believe I won because of her giftedness to accompany so beautifully. One of my fondest memories was when Jennifer was invited to perform on the piano at the Governors Mansion (Drumthwaket) in Princeton, New Jersey. She asked me to perform with her on the violin....

We loved you Jennifer and you touched so many peoples lives. Kenny Bobien was on the radio (WBAI) and he mentioned how much influence you had on his life. You gave of yourself unselfishly. You were this bright beautiful light. And you will always shine even in heaven down upon us. Rest in Peace. Ernestine & Nina Jeffries

Condolences to Jennifer's family. Her bright smile, always optimistic outlook, and conscientious support for others will be an unending memory of her. She was a constant friend through high school, college, and adulthood; she will be missed.

I am deeply saddened that my friend Jennifer has passed on. We shared so many wonderful and fun times together. She was a true professional, educator, friend, and sister. I will always remember "Ms. Parker", who is watching over her now.

Angel Sandy from New Jersey

Words cannot express my hurt through this time of sorrows and tears. Dr. Jennifer Johnson is the most amazing lady to be around. My eyes have finally seen what my ears have heard. Even still in disbelieve, I believe her soul in is in a better place. My sympathy goes out to her family and loved ones who have watched her depart this earth in peace. To Miss Johnson will be the "Cupid Shuffle" her all time favorite. Love You Dr. Jennifer Dion Johnson and will miss you very very dearly!!!!

My deepest condolences to Jennifer's family. Jennifer was my neighbor, my soror and my friend and I will truly miss her. She was always positive, upbeat and up to date on what was happening in the neighborhood. I know she is now in the arms of the Lord and that is where all believers hope to end up. But that does not make it any less painful. Be Blessed!

To the family of Jennifer: God just reached down and picked one of His most beautiful flowers. Jennifer and her mom Jessie exemplified true Christian charity. I visited them down in Hampton about 8 years ago. They were taken care of a mutual friend, Minnie Oxner at the time. Always doing God-work. She will be dearly missed! A lovely and kind woman of God.

To the family of Soror Dr. Jennifer Johnson, earth hath no sorrows that heaven cannot heal-may her memory be for a blessing. Soror Helyn Payne-Baltimore and Ronald Baltimore.
