Not sure what to say?

I was privileged to have Jennifer as an instructor in Child Development at Grant MacEwan more than 40 years ago. I'm retired now and while going through photos, I found some from that our graduation and thought: I need to write Jennifer to let her know how she influenced me and how much I loved getting to know her back then. I found Jennifer's obituary on Google and it stunned me. Today is years after she died yet if her family & close friends read this, know she is remembered with joy...

Jennifer taught me at GMCC in early childhood development. After discussion about one of our courses, she told me I should go to university and pursue my passion because she thought I had it in me. I did, and to this day I credit her for that. I am so, so sorry for the loss of this amazing educator. I was fortunate to have her, and I am so very sorry to her loved ones that we don’t have her anymore. She was an amazing human being.

A year has passed since Jennifer left us and I remain grateful for her friendship and how it continues to enrich my life. Her wisdom, wit, questions and joy will remain a blessing in all our lives. Sending my love and best wishes to Bob and the rest of Jennifer's family.

I knew Jennifer from my time at GMCC. I just learned of her passing and would like to extend my condolences to Bob and the rest of her family. We kept in contact via email for years after I graduated the early childhood program but fell out of touch these last few years. We have lost a real asset to our profession, but I know she remains in all that she has taught us in our experiences with children. Although we did not speak often I will miss my mentor and my friend. Rest in peace "Jeffner"

I met Jennifer 20 years ago in Iceland. We went on horseback across the highlands and had a lot of fun. Over all those years we stayed in touch. She was a very open-minded person, a good listener, and a fun discussion-partner. She has a place in my heart.

I just received word of Jennifer's passing. Yes, I know it is months but I had no idea. Needless to say, I am so very, very saddened to hear of it. I have known Jennifer since we were 10-12 years old. We both went to Arnold's Camp in Colorado together. Our families were friends and then we lost touch...until about 8 years ago when I again heard from Jennifer. We reconnected, traded memories and current events. I was always, always amazed by Jen's life. She sculpted a life that made sense...

I am so saddened to hear of Jennifer's passing. I first met Jennifer as a fellow student at Grinnell. She suggested I might like to apply for a summer job at Arnold Ranch in Colorado and because I took her suggestion, I was able to stay in contact with her after she transferred to Antioch. I worked there a 2nd year too and a several years ago attended a camp reunion with her. She was a dear, kind and unique person and I miss her. My prayers for Bob and the rest of her family.

Jennifer was a huge influence in my learning as an Early Childhood Educator, she was a person who always encouraged me to think deeper and to consider many possiblities,I often think of questions she would ask when I am invovled in learning with young children. I am so greatful to have had the opportunity to be a student of Jennifer's and I will miss her. Jennifer's influence will continue to be seen in the work of many Early Childhood Educators.
