Though you and I never met. Your Brother Richard is a close friend and often spoke fondly of you and John. I, like his other SES family members will look after him and be there for him in the future so you may rest in peace and not worry for him.

Thanks so much for your kindness to our family and for your work to gain knowledge of, care for and protect the wild.

Our little girls remember many walks from our house to the end of the road past 'John & Jenny's place'. Fond memories of our neigbourhood gathering at your place and the wonderful food you provided. When we moved we missed most all our neighbours and the close-knit community, now we will miss all that was there and familiar. Our hearts are full of sadness, our thoughts with your families. Rest in peace.

Your conservation work was an absolute inspiration. Meeting you was an honour, as was seeing your beautiful property and sharing a cuppa. You and John will be sorely missed by so many. We are so sad to have lost you. Our condolences to the Barnett family.
