Jerry was one of my favorite people on the Monitoring the Future project at the University of Michigan. Jerry was always open for drop-by visits to his office, an astute listener, and an unforgettably stylish dresser. When he learned of my love of music, he gave me a set of amazing stereo speakers from his home. A generous man with a light touch who made significant contributions to the study of adolescent substance use, Jerry will be missed.
