Jerald (Jerry) Russell Barr entered the gates of heaven early in the
morning March 6, 2008. He was 78 years old. Countless numbers of friends and family who went there before him were eager to welcome him home. While we know that full well, he leaves
behind the joys of his life in his large family who will miss him dearly! Jerald was born November 4, 1929 to Wahnita and George Barr in West Middlesex, Pa. He met the love of his life, Verlene E. Morrison while still a teenager. They married in 1948 and have shared 60 years as best friends and inseparable lovers. Jerry adored his 5 daughters; Bonnie (Tom) Moore, Nita (Larry) Bottolfson, Patty (Greg) Block, Jerenne (Tim) Block and Karen (Dave) Channell. His Grandchildren lit up his life as well as the Great Grandchildren he was blessed to love. Jamie, Brian, Cori, Tina, J.R., Jason, Heidi, Casey, Carley, Erin, Jerry and Scottie all adored their "Grumpy". A service to honor his life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 4:00 at Broadway Christian Church, 7335 E. Broadway Rd. Mesa, Az.

The beautiful memories of wonderful times spent with Jerry will always be treasures to us. Thank you Barr girls for letting us share them. We are all blessed to have known him.

What a special legacy your husband, dad, and grandpa has left. He will be dearly missed but what a homecoming he's having now!! Praise the Lord! Your family has always been dear to us. Please know that we love you & are covering you with our thoughts & prayers.

Uncle Jerry was a very special person to me. I always felt loved when I was in his presence. A kinder more loving man I've never known. His smile and sense of humor lit up any room in which he entered. I have always felt very close to Uncle Jerry even though we were miles apart. I will miss him greatly but know that he is with loves ones who have gone before. Nancy (Barr) Castor
