Jerald M. Brooks

Jerald Brooks was a neighbor of ours in Corpus Christi who I much admired as a child. He took us to the summer rec program he led to supplement his teacher pay, but he honestly loved the kids who came every day and would have done it for free. A man of high moral character and gentleness, he truly was a prime example of the greatest generation. He is the reason I became a teacher. He will be sorely missed.
