J J as we called him was classmate of mine at Tech high . Our class didn't have the best football team but our freshman team was 8-0. He was a great running back but a better person . Over the years I would see him on TV and in the paper with all his activities in Springfield. He really cared about the city. I didn't know he was in a wheelchair till several months ago at a funeral for our quarterback . Class of 62 was a great class. Jay rest in peace you did your best.
