On a whim, I googled Pat and Jerry Hagerty, and sadly came across this obituary. I know this is very late, but I too have many and very fond memories of your father. I took ballroom dance classes with him and Pat, twice: circa 1975 and from 1977 - 1980. Your father and Pat were very talented and had gathered together quite a gaggle of ballroom devotees.
