Jeraldine Yvonne Nolan

On August 17, 2023, Jeraldine Yvonne Nolan of Covington, Louisiana peacefully passed away at her home after a long struggle with dementia. Yvonne left behind her two daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Cordes and Dorinda Cordes (Thunder Redwomin). Yvonne had a passion for dancing and traveling domestically and internationally however, Yvonne's life focus was taking care of her two daughters. Joining the insurance field enabled her to do so. Much of Yvonne's career was spent with Ferd Marks Insurance Agency where she advanced to the position of Executive Vice President. Yvonne ended her insurance career as a producer for Eagan Insurance Agency. Yvonne was an active member of The Insurance Professionals of Greater New Orleans for decades where she served as President for the 1974-75 term. Yvonne had the distinct pleasure of serving as the Chairperson for the National Association of Insurance Women's 1981 National Convention held in New Orleans. A special thank you to Evie's (affectionate nickname by her caregivers) caregivers; Tracy Conrad, Caroline Philip Guidry, Linell McWilliams, Joann Kerr Mathews, and Linda Powell. These women took extraordinary care of Evie with patience and love. In addition, the nurses and aids of St. Tammany Health System Hospice, for their great care and empathy these last four months was priceless. And of course, our deepest thank you, gratitude, and affection to Thunder Redwomin for whom her relentless attention to every detail and care made Yvonne's life meaningful. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, John Nolan; mother AnnaMae Kuhn, stepfather Warren E. Kuhn, and son-in-law Charles (Chuck) Schaefer, Jr. Yvonne will be missed by many cousins, great nieces and nephews as well as professional business associates and friends.
