It was with great sadness that I learned of the death of Jere. We worked together for 20 years, first as faculty colleagues at UCSF and then as administrators when he became Dean of the School of Pharmacy. The news of Jere's death put me back to the high school days with him. He was always upbeat and made me feel good. Just a good guy to be around. My sympathy to the family.
