Not sure what to say?

I still remember going to Jere's and Ann's home in Upper Ojai. There, we occasionally did jam sessions as "The Old Favorites" which played all over Ventura County in the mid-late 60's. Jere was a fun and interesting guy who knew about a lot of subjects. He was a thoughtful guy and a good drummer. Glad his memory is being maintained in his extended family.

So sad to here about Jere's passing. He has been a great friend for over 30 years. He would come by the body shop to visit and we would go to lunch about every 3 months. I will miss him so much. I enjoyed every moment I spent with him. The world has lost a true gentleman.

Ang- I wish I would have had the honor of meeting dad. I will see him through you everyday. He sounded like a fantastic person. I will strive to be 1/2 the person he was. Xoxo

Ang- I was never lucky enough to have actually meet Dad, but I love every story you have ever shared with me. I would have really enjoyed being around him. Lots of love to you and Mom.
XOXO

I am sorry to hear of Jere's passing. It was an honor knowing and working with him. Jere always had an interesting story to tell and I will always think of him with great fondness.
Sincerely, Wendy Zegarra

I miss our friend Jere;

Jere was our drummer in the late 1960's in "The Old Favorites" band composed of Upper Ojai musicians. Jere and Annie were our wonderful neighbors. I last saw him when I officiated a memorial service for an old neighbor on Sisar Road. He had a wonderful personality and enthusiastically enjoyed playing. I really enjoyed his sharing an old photo of our group (probably taken by Annie)which I didn't have.

Angie, it sounds like your dad was a great guy! His story is told in such a fun manner. I am so sorry for the big hole in your and your family's hearts. I will now think of him every time I eat Oreos! What a awesome dad you had. Not surprising you have the sense of humor you do. My thoughts and hugs are with you always, but especially during this tough time.
