Not sure what to say?

Sue we are so very sorry for your loss. I am so honored to have been able to meet your Mom and Dad this past summer. What an incredible man he was. May your memories of him bring you joy and comfort. Sending prayers and hugs your way. Love, Rick & Jeannette Price

Please accept my deepest sympathy on Dr Freeman's death. He was a major mentor to me. I spent the summer of 1969 in the Freeman lab on a NSF undergraduate research grant. He helped nurture my love of science and chemistry and was instrumental in launching my career in medicine. Friday evenings in 1971-72 were spent sequestered as Dr Freeman oversaw us grading the organic examinations. He wanted all to succeed. My first paper was from my time in his lab and I am grateful for all his mentorship...

We are so sorry to learn about Jerry's passing. We always enjoyed running into him over the years and catching up on Montessori friends and the Freeman family. He was such a warm and genuine person, and we know how much you will miss him. Please accept our sympathy.

Sue, my deepest sympathies go out to you and the entire Freeman family on your loss. I remember visiting Dr. & Mrs. Freeman on our first trip to South Bend in '74. They were such gracious hosts. Little did I realize we'd be moving there a year later and that our families would become entwined for several decades through our Dads and through school. Dr. Freeman was always so kind to me. He took the time to engage in conversation instead of just small talk. I can see why my Dad always...

Jerry was an excellent teacher, mentor, researcher and friend. He represents what is best about Notre Dame's Chemistry Department, to which he made many important contributions. He will be missed!

Dr. Freeman was my Organic Chemistry professor and advisor in the late 80's. He always took a genuine interest in my passion for teaching, and once I began teaching at Notre Dame after graduate school we had some very engaging lunch time discussions about challenges of college teaching. He was a kind and caring person, and will be missed.

Thank you Jerry Freeman. I will miss you. I always loved talking about my ultrasound cases w you !
