Not sure what to say?

Jeremy Foss was my drawing professor at Mass Art in 1966. He was a wonderful instructor and extremely kind. He really taught me how to draw!

I just learned of Jeremy´s passing. He was a professor of mine at mass art in 1980-81. He was always incredible, kind, and supportive to me as an artist. I remember him with warm thoughts. I kept in touch for several years and I´m regretful that our contact did not continue. He was a kind and generous soul.

Jeremy's name came up in conversation today as we were showing off one of his paintings he gave to us a few years before he passed. Our animal clinic took care of his precious feline. He was dedicated to that kitty and made sure to follow the veterinarian's instructions to the letter. Jeremy drove from his home in Cape Neddick, Maine to our office in Exeter, NH always arriving early. He was a soft spoken compassionate gentleman who never boasted about his accomplishments but loved to share...

Jeremy Foss was my painting professor at Mass Art in1986. He had a compassionate and understanding way of speaking to young artists. I will always remember this and keep this close to my heart. I hope I am able to pass this to my young students now. - Amy Solomon Brookline, MA

Jeremy called unannounced at my mother's hotel in St. Davids in Pembrokeshire UK when he was studying at Ruskin School of art. He was penniless and my mother took him in. He stayed for two months painting every day. On leaving he gave my mother a painting which he had done of me. I have it now and treasure it. He also gave me a painting which I had stored and not looked at until I came upon it this morning. It set me thinking whether I could contact Jeremy again only to learn he had...

Jerry Foss was a fraternity brother of mine at Middlebury. He was a very compassionate person who had a very kind heart, especially with regard to birds and cats. I had lunch with him two years ago at his home in Cape Neddick. He was a talented artist which was hung and stored all around his home. RIP, Jerry

Jerry was my roommate and closest friend during our last two years at Middlebury. The alumni office helped me locate him and we shared several enjoyable afternoons together. Without a doubt, Jerry was the kindest, most considerate person, I have ever known. I will miss him a great deal. My sympathy and condolences to his family.

Jeremy was among a handful of people who changed my life. He was a teacher, a mentor and finally a good friend. We corresponded for many years. What I particularly admired in Jeremy was his genuine passion for artistic excellence and his intellectual curiosity. He was an articulate man and an inspiring teacher. He was funny, generous and kind. He came into my life when I was very young, full of artistic energy, but lacking self-confidence and focus. He helped me find my way: a priceless gift....
