Funeral services for LCPL Jeremy Dakota Vincent, 23, will be held at 2 pm on Sunday August 18, 2013 at the chapel of Seale Funeral Home Denham Springs. Interment will Military Honors will follow at Crochet's Family Cemetery; visitation will be Saturday 5 pm until 8 pm and Sunday 12 noon until time of service. Jeremy was born in Lubbock, Texas on June 4, 1990 and was killed by a drunk driver in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday August 11, 2013 while stopped at a traffic light on his motorcycle. He was a native of Livingston Parish; graduate of Walker High School; and served with the United States Marine Corp from July 13, 2009 until July 23, 2013 where he had received Certificate of Appreciation, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (USSBOXER), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Letter of Appreciation(2) and Expert Rifle Qualification Badge(001). Survivors include his parents Ange, Ed and Paula; siblings Doug, Tommy, Joe, Chastity and Felicia; grandmother Frances Crochet; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Joyce Vincent, Dorothy Krieg and Edgar Joseph Crochet Jr.
