Jermaine Kentrell Carter Sr. was born on April 30, 1981. He gave his life to the Lord at the young age of 13. He graduated from Wheeler High School then went on to join the U.S. Army in 2001.
During his military career Jermaine was Airborne, food service, and civil affairs. He toured Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, and Liberia. While serving overseas in Korea he met his wife L. Monique in 2005. Before retiring In 2017, he earned a Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation, and his Masters degree in Human Dynamics.
In retirement, he continued to help soldiers by working for the V.A. He enjoyed cameras, flying his drone, and spending time with his family. He leaves a beautiful legacy in his 3 children, Lamia Jermaine, and Lillian. Jermaine was a beautiful soul and a dedicated family man. He will always be our Guardian.
Jermaine is survived by his loving wife, L. Monique, son Jermaine Jr. (15), daughters, Lamia Hagler (23) & Lillian (9). His mother, Christine Carter, brothers, Cortez & Ernest [Felicia]. Aunt, Carrie Ann; Uncles, Willis [Angela], William [Ayunna], Michael & Daniel [Maria].
He also leaves a caring mother in law, Cynthia Brooks, father-in-law law, Scottie White; brother in law, Eugene & sister in law Jessica. Nephews, Cortez Jr. & Tioandre, and nieces, LaDazia & Destanie.
In addition, he is survived by beloved cousins, in laws, family, friends, and military comrades.
Visitation and viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2024 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
A Homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Hope City Church on Highway 204 at I-95 in Savannah.
