Today I am very saddened by the news of the passing of two of the best human beings I have ever known. Referee Klevit hired me as clerk in my third year of law school. He was not concerned about being able to understand a kid with a thick accent; instead, he was worried that I could be uncomfortable working with a blind man. As a former member of the Philadelphia workers' compensation bar, Jerry Klevit was the epitome of a great jurist: fair, intellectual and practical.
