We offer our condolences for the loss of an Icon in Conservation work. Jerry Bechtold was a mainstay of the Stearns District and a partner to us all. Give our regards to all who will miss him.

My sympathy to all of Jerry's family. When I began my first term on the Big Stone County SWCD Board I had the pleasure of meeting him. I was amazed to hear that he began his first term as SWCD Supervisor the year before I was born (1957). His dedication and commitment to conservation will be missed. Sincerely, Mike Jorgenson

Jerome, You are gone from this earth but not from our hearts. You were a great uncle to me and always made me feel welcomed in your presence. You accepted people for who they were and always welcomed them into your heart. Thanks for being such a great uncle to me.
